Nesting
In the Mormon faith, the home is often referred to as a temple; a space for worship, meditation, and peace. Nesting birds build homes from small and simple bits. Twigs, grasses, stolen spiders silk, birds use what they find and build where they can.
Though these nests are sturdily built, they are made from inherently breakable clay and glass. Likewise, humans strive to find and create sacred spaces to call home, using fragile relationships as structural support. Home becomes a process and a pilgrimage rather than a static place, with many rebuilds, adaptations and re-imaginings.
